The fourth annual meeting of the BGS retired members’ group took place recently in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

This followed successful visits to Bath, Lichfield and Windsor in previous years.

Members heard papers from Donald Portsmouth, Peter Millard, Arthur Alvarez and Morag Insley, covering a range of interesting and entertaining subjects. There were also opportunities to learn something of the history of Beverley and to visit a local stately home, Burton Agnes Hall..

However, the prime purpose of the meeting was to enable the renewal of old friendships in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, an objective resoundingly achieved once again in Beverley.

2005 in Stratford upon Avon
Next year’s get-together will be in Stratford upon Avon.
