Submitting an abstract for the BGS Spring Meeting - 2006

The deadline for submission of abstracts for the BGS Spring Meeting in 2006 is 5 p.m. on 1 December 2005. The facility for submitting your abstract online is now open.

Please note that the word limit for abstracts is 230 words (as counted by the online facility). If the online facility judges your abstract too long, then it is too long, regardless of your Word Processing Package’s count. This is because your abstract needs to fit into a defined space when published in the abstract book.

As in the past, your abstract will be acknowledged immediately by email, with a preliminary reference number. If you do not receive this acknowledgement within a couple of hours of submitting your abstract, please contact me.

The abstracts will be adjudicated on 6 January (Clinical Effectiveness) and on 25 January (Research) and the results of the adjudication will be posted onto the BGS website on 8 and 27 January respectively, together with a confirmation form which needs to be completed and returned to me.

Presenters, please note, apart from completing and returning the confirmation form, you need to register for the conference in the usual way.

You are also reminded that abstracts will be published by Age & Ageing in online form only. This does not affect its status in terms of research résumés
