Results of Presidential Election

The results of the presidential elections were as follows:

Total votes cast: 441 (22%)
Invalid/spoiled papers: 5 (where voters tore off address labels identifying their ballot papers. It was necessary to identify voters in order to ensure that there was no double voting - by paper and online)

Postal votes: 280
Online votes: 161 (up 150% over last year's online votes)

Prof Steve Allen received 116 votes
Prof Peter Crome received 169 votes
Dr Finbarr Martin received 156 votes

Prof Crome's appointment as President Elect will be ratified at the AGM in October 2004.
