This year’s BGS Autumn scientific meeting is taking place in Harrogate.
The venue is easily accessible by road or rail and the BGS has links with several very comfortable hotels near the main venue. By attending the BGS meeting this should enable you to meet your external CPD requirements for the year in order to become revalidated. There is an excellent programme with a special update on NICE on the Wednesday and clinical updates on valvular heart disease, thromboembolic disease, cataract, lung cancer and depression and paranoia.
Next Subgroup Meeting Thursday 5th October at 1.00pm
All Staff Grade, Associate Specialist, Clinical Assistant or Trust Grade doctors are welcome to our meeting. Let me remind you that membership to the SAS group is open to all members of the British Geriatrics Society but also it is open to non-members of the BGS by invitation of the Committee. We are a friendly inclusive group who welcome new faces. At this year’s meeting we will be providing you with updates on the contract negotiations on the single spine structure, progression with PMETB and our growing role within the BGS. Practical advice on CPD, revalidation, appraisal and applying for discretionary points will be available.
